First, a bit about me. I am a graphic designer based in the Washington, DC area, with a love of design that is clean, smart, and intuitive.

Where does your name come from? How do you say it?
My first name is Indian (I am not), and is pronounced like the punctuation mark, "comma"-la.
My last name is Dutch (I am not), and is two words. Vander is the first part of my last name, not my middle name. Vander Kolk is pronounced exactly like it is spelled.
[My middle/maiden name is Hirsch, which is German (I am...partly).]

What software do you know? What work experience do you have?

Anything else worth knowing?
I have a meticulous attention to detail, excellent proofreading skills (for spelling and grammar), and am capable of leading a team, as well as working as a team player. Also, in case you don't have it, to view all samples of my work, you'll need Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
